"Rohit will be flying back to Mumbai"- Rahul Dravid drops massive hints of Rohit Sharma's participation in Bangladesh Test series
The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma suffered an injury in the second ODI against Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. It happened in the second over of the first inning when Mohammed Siraj's ball took the edge of the batter and went to slip.

Rohit, who was fielding there, went for a low catch, and it hit his left thumb hard and the blood came out. He left the field and was taken to the hospital for necessary scans, as reported by the BCCI.

However, he didn't feature in the entire first inning and was seen wearing medical tape and bandages on his left thumb in the dugout. Although he came out to bat in the end, he was seen in pain. After the game, India's head coach Rahul Dravid gave an update on Rohit's injury.

Dravid confirmed that the Indian skipper will not be part of the third and final ODI on Saturday. He also admitted that the Indian team is suffering from various injuries to its players. Dravid also stated that Rohit, along with Deepak Chahar, will miss the third ODI.

Furthermore, he also informed that spinner Kuldeep Yadav has also been ruled out of the ODI series. Notably, the Indian captain will fly back to Mumbai to consult an expert to see how severe the injury is.

Dravid said, "I think Deepak and Rohit will certainly miss the next match. Kuldeep is also out of the series. Rohit will fly back to Bombay, consult with an expert to see how it is, and confirm whether he can come back for the Test series or not. It is too early to say anything but he will be out for the next match for sure."

Rohit's absence will certainly hurt the Indian team, and his unavailability in the Test series will be a big setback for the visitors. Despite an injured thumb, he came out to bat in the second innings at the fall of the seventh wicket.

He scored a brilliant half-century but couldn't help his team win the game. He scored 51 runs off 28 balls with three boundaries and five sixes. India fell short by five runs in the end. The two-match test series will start on December 14.
