Sarfaraz Ahmed makes a return after 3 years as Pakistan squad announced for England Test series

Pakistan, who performed brilliantly in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022 and made it to the finals, is now all set for the Test series against England. Let us tell you that Pakistan is going to play a three-match Test series against England and the series will start from December 1.

Significantly, on the official Twitter handle of the Pakistan cricket team, an 18-member squad has been announced today for the upcoming three-match Test series against England. Experienced wicket-keeper batsman and former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has managed to return to this team after three years. Let us add that Sarfaraz played his last Test match in 2019 against South Africa.

As for the bowling department, Shaheen Shah Afridi will not be seen playing for the Men in Green team. Significantly, he was injured while taking a catch in the final match of T20 World Cup 2022. Also, he is now undergoing rehab at the National High Performance Center, due to which he will stay away from the Test series.

On the other hand, Babar Azam, one of the brilliant batsmen of current generation of cricket, has been given the command of the Pakistan team. Apart from this, senior players of the Pakistan team like Shan Masood, Azhar Ali and Imam-ul-Haq have also managed to find a place in the team.

So there Test specialist and experienced middle order batsman Fawad Alam has not find a place in the team. Let us tell you that the first match of this test series will be played in Rawalpindi, the second match in Multan and the third match will be played in National Stadium Karachi.
