After what happened in the last over of the match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, the latter's assistant coach Shane Watson has expressed his regret over the incident, calling it that it doesn't define Delhi Capitals.

The match number 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 ended in quite a thrilling finish with Rajasthan Royals getting the taste of the victory over the Delhi Capitals by 15 runs.

It was a high scoring encounter where the English batsman representing Rajasthan Royals, Jos Buttler scored his 3rd Century of the IPL 2022. However, the match will be remembered for the controversy that took place in the last over of the match.

The incident occurred when Rovman Powell smashed Obed McCoy for 3 consecutive sixes, but the 3rd one was a waist level full-toss, and Delhi Capitals players were demanding a no-ball for that, but the umpire called it a fair delivery.

That led to the Delhi Capitals players gets aggressive and captain Rishabh Pant and coach Pravin Amre stepped onto the field. Pant decided to call his players and declared, but at the end, all ended well.

In the remaining 3 balls, Obed McCoy just gave 2 runs and dismissed Rovman Powell in the last ball of the match.

Reacting to the incident, Delhi Capitals' assistant coach Shane Watson expressed his regret over the controversy and called it that it doesn't define Delhi Capitals.

Addressing the media post match, Shane Watson stated that what happened in the last over was disappointing and added that Delhi Capitals doesn't stand for what happened there on the field.

He continued that someone running onto the field is not acceptable and whether the umpire's decision is right or wrong, one has to accept.
