"Sorry Indian Fans" - Nasser Hussain picks the best cover drive among the current best players

Cricket fans' hearts have been captured by Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, who are also inspiring several generations. These two batsmen are easily two of the best in the game right now, according to any cricket analyst. They are in high demand all around the world because of their magnificent batting abilities mixed with a dash of arrogance. Bowlers all over the world endure restless nights thinking about Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. Although each includes a variety of pictures, it is their cover drive that draws the eye.

One of the hardest and most graceful strokes in cricket is the cover drive. It involves playing the ball through the cover area of a delivery that is intended around the off-stump with exceptional wristwork, timing, and a conventional front foot movement in the direction of the ball's pitch.

When Nasser Hussain was asked to pick one of the best cover drivers in the current best players he picked the Pakistan batting sensation Babar Azam ahead of Virat Kohli, Joe Root and Kane Williamson. He also said Kohli’s wrist is involved in playing the cover drive but Babar Azam has the perfect conventional cover drive.

He said, “ Sorry Indian fans I’m gonna be biased go with Babar Azam, I nearly went with Kohli. He has the fast flick of the wrist but Babar has the conventional way of playing it”. He concluded by saying If I want to recommend any young player to watch any cover drive it will be Babar Azam.

However we all know both of them are world class players even though Virat Kohli has not had a better days with the bat he is considered as one of the best batsman across all formats. The much awaited class between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 will be played on August 28th in Dubai.
