Star Indian all-rounder suffered a shoulder injury, likely to miss the Zimbabwe tour
But ahead of the Zimbabwe tour, Indi faced a big setback as India's spin-bowling all-rounder, Washington Sundar, who made his comeback to the national side for the ODIs, has suffered a shoulder injury in the ongoing Royal One Day Cup, which could put a big question mark on his availability in the upcoming ODI series.
Notably, Sunday suffered an injury while playing in the IPL 2022 for Sunrisers Hyderabad, which forced him to miss a lot of the cricket. Sundar chose to play for Lancashire in the English county league after recovering from his injury, and he has been doing well so far.
In two matches played for Lancashire, he picked up eight wickets and also scored 52 runs with the bat in the County Championship 2022. Then, he also took three wickets in the Royal London Club for his team, picking up three wickets in the first two matches, but now he is likely to miss the remaining games.

On August 10, Lancashire Cricket Club confirmed that the Indian all-rounder had sustained a shoulder injury during a match against Worcestershire on Wednesday. However, there is no official update about how severe the injury is, but the club confirmed that Sunday had to leave the field after slipping horribly while fielding.
Sundar already has a history of injuries and this injury could lead him to miss Zimbabwe ODIs as well. India will play the series starting on Thursday, August 18. The second and third games will be played on August 20 and 22. After that, India will play in the Asia Cup.
