Suresh Raina set to play in Road Safety World Series 2022; joins India Legends
Former India middle-order batter Suresh Raina has retired from all forms of cricket on 6th September and is all set to play in the second season of the Road Safety World Series. Let us tell you, Suresh Raina went unsold in the last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), after which he has now announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
The first match of the Road Safety World Series (RSWS) will be played between India Legends and South Africa Legends on the 10th September, and the match will be played in Kanpur. There will be a fierce clash between a total of 8 teams. These 8 teams are India Legends, Australia Legends, South Africa Legends, Bangladesh Legends, England Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, West Indies Legends and New Zealand Legends.
Suresh Raina can also be seen playing in the upcoming South Africa and UAE franchise cricket league. Raina played the last match of IPL in October 2021, he has not participated in any domestic tournament after 2018. His participation in the Road Safety Series was confirmed through the official Twitter account of the competition.

A total of 23 matches will be played from 10 September to 1 October and the two teams that perform the best will face each other in the final. Let us tell you, the final match will be played on October 1st in Raipur. There will be matches of the tournament in total 4 venues – Kanpur, Indore, Dehradun and Raipur.
Let us further add that this is the second season of the tournament. A total of 7 teams took part in the first season and this time New Zealand Legends is making their debut. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the tournament. Talking about the Indian team, Sachin Tendulkar has been named as the captain of the team.
Apart from Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, S Badrinath, Yusuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh, Stuart Binny, Harbhajan Singh and Munaf Patel will also be seen playing for the team. The first season of the tournament was won by India Legends. Now it remains to be seen whether they will be able to win this season as well or not.
