"This is your first year with CSK" - Ravindra Jadeja explains how Suresh Raina encouraged him to get special CSK haircut
Ravindra Jadeja, the Indian cricket team and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder, revealed how his fellow CSK teammate Suresh Raina persuaded him to have a special haircut offering to pay homage to the yellow brigade.
Ravindra Jadeja is one of the most important member of the Chennai Super Kings franchise and said to be in contention for the captaincy role after MS Dhoni decides to hang-up his boots.
Ravindra Jadeja was bought by the Chennai Super Kings before the IPL 2012 edition, who was previously playing for the Rajasthan Royals from 2008 till 2011.
In a video uploaded on Chennai Super Kings' social media account, the all-rounder revealed a backstory of how former CSK teammate Suresh Raina encouraged him to get a special haircut for his first season playing for the Chennai Super Kings in 2012.
It was during the IPL 2012 season that Ravindra Jadeja won the hearts of the CSK fans, who came up with CSK written special haircut.
Explaining the backstory, he added that both him and Raina went for haircut, adding that when Jadeja's turn came, Raina asked him to do something different.
He said that when he asked Raina what different, then Raina suggested that he should write his name on his head, but disagreed and wanted to something different. Raina then suggested him to write CSK on his head since it was his first season with the franchise, to which Jadeja agreed.

Ravindra Jadeja has ever since been quite an integral member of the Chennai Super Kings franchise and was retained by the franchise before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.
