Virat Kohli to achieve a rare record in 1st game vs PAK, will become the only Indian to do so
This game will also see the return of the former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, to the Indian team. Virat, who has been out for more than a month, will play in the mega-match against Pakistan. However, all eyes will be on him and how he performs.
The match between India and Pakistan is always a world-wide sight and this time as well, it will be an historic event for the former Indian skipper. Virat will achieve a rare feat as he steps onto the cricket field against Pakistan. Notably, this will be the 100th T20I match for Virat.
With this game, the former Indian skipper will become the first Indian to play 100 or more games in all three formats. In history, former New Zealand batter Ross Taylor achieved this milestone in February 2022, and Virat will be only the second player to do so.

Notably, the former skipper will also become only the second Indian to play 100 T20Is after Rohit Sharma (132) in the shorter format. The 100th game is always a special occasion for any player in any format, and to play his 100th T20I against Pakistan makes it more memorable, and he would like to perform to take his team to the win.
But Virat is currently going through a lean patch and hasn't had the numbers to back it up. However, everyone is backing the 33-year-old to come back firing after a most-important break. Everyone is waiting for his century as he has gone past 1000 days without an international hundred.
He is expected to be back at his normal position of No. 3 and if the duo of Rohit and KL Rahul provides India a solid start, it can reduce some of the pressure on him. For Pakistan, they will be without their ace pacer, Shaheen Afridi, so that might be an area where Virat can capitalise.
