Wasim Jaffer picks his best IPL 2022 Playing XI; Hardik Pandya named captain

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season has come to a close with Gujarat Titans winning in the final. Along with foreign players, some uncapped Indian players displayed their talent in the IPL 2022. This season, India's legendary cricketers like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's didn't had a good, but young Indian players won everyone's heart with their performance.

Experienced overseas players such as Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone performed brilliantly for their respective teams this season, while uncapped Indian players such as Tilak Verma and Umran Malik showed their outstanding talent. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has revealed his best XI of IPL 2022.

The final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season was played between the Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals infront of a jam-packed Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.

And it is the home team Gujarat Titans who managed to beat the Rajasthan Royals to lift their first IPL Trophy in their first campaign in the competition. Meanwhile, former cricketer Wasim Jaffer has picked his best IPL 2022 playing XI.

Speaking on the show 'Not Just Cricket' powered by Sky247.net on Crictracker, Wasim Jaffer said that the way Hardik Pandya captained this season and led Gujarat Titans (GT) to the trophy in the very first season and has highly impressed him, thus, he has chosen the Indian all-rounder as the captain of his best XI of IPL 2022. While he picked former Indian fast bowler and Gujarat Titans (GT) head coach Ashish Nehra as his team's coach.

Wasim Jaffer further included batsmen like Liam Livingstone, Jos Buttler, KL Rahul and David Miller in his team. He has named Dinesh Karthik in his best XI as the wicketkeeper batsman and the finisher of the team. 

The former India batsman has entrusted the pace department with Mohammed Shami and Harshal Patel, while Wanindu Hasranga and Yuzvendra Chahal will lead the spin bowling department.
