In the decisive third ODI of the series on Sunday, Rishabh Pant's spectacular century and Hardik Pandya's all-around heroics propelled the Indian cricket team to a convincing five-wicket victory over England. By a score of 2-1, the Men in Blue won the three-match series.

When Jasprit Bumrah was forced to withdraw from the game owing to an injury, India were dealt a devastating blow. Even still, Indian bowling was outstanding, dismissing England for 259 runs. The side got off to the greatest possible start thanks to Mohammed Siraj, who struck out Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root for ducks before Hardik Pandya went through the middle of the England batting order. Buttler, Livingstone, Ali, and Overton made considerable contributions that propelled England to a respectable total, although they fell at least 40–50 runs shy of the required total.

Chasing 260 runs, India were in trouble losing their top order batsman cheaply but Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya put together a 133-run partnership to get them over the finish line. With 47 balls remaining, the Indian wicketkeeper struck an unbeaten 125 runs to assist Team India defeat England in Manchester by 5 wickets.

Additionally, Pant's performance helped him win the Man of the Match award, for which he was given a trophy and a bottle of champagne. Rishabh Pant said it was a good wicket to bat on and Indian bowlers did a fantastic job throughout the series.

After the post match presentation, Pant met former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri and the two were seen hugging before Pant headed back to his team. However, Rishabh Pant gave the bottle of champagne to Ravi shastri which caught everyone's attention. Pant even started laughing heartily at this moment.

Talking about the match, Hardik Pandya won Man of the Series for his all-around innings. Pandya (4/24) and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (3/60) bowled brilliantly to help India bowl out England for 259 in 45.5 overs in the third game. Hardik Pandya also played a crucial knock with the bat for team India during the chase. It was yet another failure for Virat Kohli as he was dismissed by Reece Topley for 17 runs.
