Watch: Virat Kohli's one-handed stunner to dismiss Shakib Al Hasan in 1st ODI vs BAN
As a result, the strong Indian batting line-up couldn't score freely and got dismissed for just 186 runs in 41.2 overs. And it was veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who took his fourth five-wicket haul in an ODI to dismantle India's batting plan.
For India, it was KL Rahul who played a brilliant innings of 73 runs off 70 balls with five fours and four sixes and helped India; otherwise, India would have gotten all out way earlier. Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli also failed and got out after scoring just nine runs.
However, both Rohit Sharma (27) and Virat got out in the 11th over of the inning by Shakib. But Virat got out to a stunning catch by Bangladesh skipper Litton Das at cover diving full length to his right. It was a stunning catch, and it shocked everyone on the ground, including Virat.
However, Bangladesh also had some struggles in their chase, as they lost the wicket of Najmul Hossain Shanto to the very first ball of the second innings. Litton Das (41) and Shakib (29) looked good for a while, but both batters got dismissed by Washington Sundar.
But Shakib's dismissal came largely due to Virat's brilliant fielding effort. The former Indian skipper who got out to a brilliant catch also picked up a one-handed stunner.

The hosts are marching towards the win, which will be their only 6th ODI win against India in history. India will look to address their batting plans, as apart from Rahul, none of the other batters could stick on the crease, and it was a total batting failure.
