"When you come and play for India"- Rohit Sharma reveals where Team India is lacking at the moment

Not just the loss, but India had some injury issues during the game as well. Firstly, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was hit with a ball on his left thumb, which resulted in him missing the entire first inning.

However, he came out to bat in the end, but he was wearing bandages and tape on his thumb. After the game, Rohit also pointed out that it is an alarming sign for Team India, as players are often getting injured. He said it after being asked about Deepak Chahar, who just bowled three overs in the first innings.

Notably, Chahar has been suffering from injuries and fitness issues for a long time now. India is already facing injuries to ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, which have certainly affected India's performance in the last 5-6 months or so.

Rohit said that it is very important for the management to find out the reason for such injuries and need to get to the bottom of it to do so. Team India missed the services of Bumrah and Jadeja in the T20 World Cup as well.

The Indian skipper said, "When they come to play for India, they need to be at more than 100 percent. We need to monitor their workload because we can't have guys coming in to play for the country half-fit."

Furthermore, he also highlighted the inability of the Indian bowlers to close the innings. He said that it wasn't a great effort to let Bangladesh make 271/7 from 69/6, which cost them a lot. Rohit also stated that the lack of big partnerships at the top is another thing.

Rohit said that the batters need to understand that the partnership needs to be converted into a big one that can close the match. He concluded that the batters need to be braver to take the game deep.
