"Won't be nice to do that to CSK fans", MS Dhoni confirms his participation in IPL 2023

Chennai Super Kings is playing its final game of IPL 2022 on Friday. The team has not qualified for the playoffs and hence, they won't be part of the tournament anymore. Hence, the focus was on MS Dhoni if he would continue to take part in IPL. The legend has now given an update about the same.

MS Dhoni to play in IPL 2023

Like last year, MS Dhoni was asked the question of whether he would play in IPL 2023. To this, the CSK skipper said, "Definitely, because it will be unfair to not to say thank you to Chennai. Won't be nice to do that to CSK fans."

This means that MS Dhoni will continue to play in the tournament. He has been in good batting form this year and since he has taken over the captaincy again, the fans will be excited about the prospect.

MS Dhoni will be back at Chepauk

Some time ago, MS Dhoni said that he would want to play his final game in front of the Chepauk crowd in Chennai. The COVID protocols are reducing and it would not be a surprise if we expect IPL to have the regular home-and-away fixtures from IPL 2023. In that case, MS Dhoni will play again in Chennai. He also mentioned the same in the toss on Friday. 

The fans have been waiting to see MSD in action for a very long time in Chennai. Last year, there was a huge crowd when there was a celebratory event after winning IPL 2021. Now that he will return to playing cricket on the ground again, it is a big boost for the fans of the legend and the CSK supporters.
