A fan asked Priya Punia about her marriage; the women's player gave a heart-touching reply
Indian women’s cricket team star Priya Punia recently played in the Women’s T20 Challenge at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The female player had an interaction with her fans on social media, where she answered several interesting questions.
Although the upcoming star has not played many matches at the international level, she still has an incredible fan following on social media. A fan asked her about her cricketing idols on Instagram and she replied to him that she idolized Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid.
Virat Kohli is the captain of the Indian cricket team, while Rahul Dravid is remembered for his solid defensive technique. One is a hot-headed aggressive captain, while the other is as cool as a cucumber. Both have achieved enormous success in their respective fields and it goes without saying that they would be the role models for every upcoming cricketer.
Apart from that, Priya Punia also answered a few questions about her personal life. Someone asked her if she had a boyfriend. Priya replied to that fan by a confused look of herself. Next, she answered the question related to her marriage.

Punia gave a magnificent answer and stated that she would first prefer making a name for herself in the cricket world before thinking about settling down with a life partner. In her view, an individual could marry at any time, but the same could not be done in the cricket field.
“Pehle desh ke liye to kuch karle, Shadi ka kya hai wo toh kabhi bhi ho sakti hai,” she wrote.
The above statement roughly translates to ‘Let me do something for the country first, marriage can wait until then.’ Priya played for the Supernovas in the Women’s T20 Challenge. Unfortunately, her team lost to the Trailblazers in the summit clash. Otherwise, they could have completed a hat-trick of wins.
