AB De Villiers shares a hint about his future in IPL

With the Indian Premier League 2021's 2nd phase set to begin from September 19, there are uncertainties over the availability of lots of players, and fans are worried about that.

Among that, there is another tension boiling at Royal Challengers Bangalore's camp about whether or not AB De Villiers will play in the Indian Premier League beyond this year.

There was news going on that AB De Villiers has requested Cricket South Africa to allow him to play in the upcoming T20 World Cup. However, that did not happen. Thus, questions arose in RCB supporters' minds that will AB de Villiers continue playing cricket after the end of the Indian Premier League 2021.

Well, the man himself spoke about it during an Instagram live session. AB de Villiers, during the Instagram, live, shared a lot about his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates and his future in the Indian Premier League.

AB De Villiers said that he had exceeded all the expectations for a South African and wants to continue playing the World's biggest T20 cricket league, "At the IPL, for South Africa, it exceeded all expectations, and hopefully there are few more years."

He also cherished his times playing in the Indian Premier League and breaking all those.

AB de Villiers is like a local boy to the Royal Challengers Bangalore's fans and Indian cricket supporters. AB de Villiers has been playing the Indian Premier League ever since its first season back in 2008, and before the start of the 2nd phase of IPL 2021, the South African has played 176 IPL matches and has more than 5000 runs shows to his fans in India and worldwide.

AB de Villiers first was picked up by the Delhi Daredevils for the IPL 2008, and after three seasons with them, he was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL's fourth season.

AB de Villiers has become a mainstay in the IPL ever since the inaugural season, and he's pointing out that there are more years; it's a joy for RCB fans. However, with the upcoming IPL auction set to be a mega option where each franchise is only allowed to retain a maximum of four players, it will be interesting to see whether AB de Villiers will be retained or not.
