Ambati Rayudu recently spoke about his plans for IPL 2022 and beyond to the Telangana Today. The player, who has put himself out of contention for Team India, said that he would love to play for CSK again.

Rayudu had a controversial career for India

Although he did well in IPL, Rayudu was never short of controversies. The peak of it was at the back of the 2019 World Cup. After losing his spot to Vijay Shankar, Rayudu made a sarcastic remark on his Twitter account. Later, after not being considered as a replacement signing, Rayudu altogether announced retirement.

Rayudu recently did well for CSK

Ambati Rayudu did well for CSK in IPL 2021. Especially in India, he came up with a few important performances. He remarked that he would like to play for the franchise again. Speaking to Telangana Today, he said, "I am definitely looking forward to the auctions. Though I am not retained, I would love to play for CSK again."

The former Mumbai Indians cricketer talked about his role in a batting line-up and also explained his vision for the future IPL campaigns. He said, "I want more IPL titles. I won five IPL and two Champions Leagues trophies. Hopefully, by the time I end my career, I would love to win two or more IPL trophies." He also conceded that since he is out of contention for Team India, he is not under pressure. Hence, he plays out his natural game at the crease. 

Although 36, Rayudu still has it in him to do well in IPL. He showed that in IPL 2021. Hence, he can expect himself to find a team that can give him more opportunities in the league. A few Sunrisers Hyderabad fans want Rayudu to play for the home franchise from IPL 2022.
