Ravichandran Ashwin has finally broken his silence after a few reports emerged claiming that he was the Indian cricketer who complained about Virat Kohli’s captaincy during the England tour.

Ashwin preferred to use a funny way to answer the fake news spreading about him. He posted a couple of stories on his official Instagram handle earlier today, responding to the claims which he stated are false. Here’s what Ashwin wrote:

“I am searching for the handle called “Fake News”, it used to be super fun for Gossip. Oh yaaa!! Thank you guys. Found Them: I just heard they have renamed themselves and are now called IANS and some others take quotes from them too. Super fun,” Ravichandran Ashwin wrote.

A few fans believed the reports to be true because Ravichandran Ashwin did not make it to the Indian playing XI for the four Test matches against the England cricket team. However, Ashwin has proven those fans and reports wrong with his Instagram story today.

Ravichandran Ashwin is currently playing for the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021

Ravichandran Ashwin is currently in the United Arab Emirates, playing for the Delhi Capitals team in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. Ashwin has also been picked in the Indian squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman.

The off-spin bowling all-rounder received a surprise call-up after Washington Sundar was unavailable. Hence, Ashwin will try to grab the opportunity with both hands. He has a lot of experience under his belt. Also, playing for the Delhi Capitals in similar conditions will help him.

It will be interesting to see how the Indian all-rounder performs for the national team in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. It will be the last time India plays a T20 tournament under the leadership of Virat Kohli.
