Ashwin Recalls The Story Behind The Popular Meme Template Including Him And Kohli

Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the cricketers who are extremely active on social media. He is also regular with his Youtube channel. Recently, he posted a video on his channel called "40 Shades Of Ash". He answered 40 questions that were asked by fans on Twitter. Ashwin spoke about a variety of topics, including the story behind the famous meme template of him and Virat Kohli.

Ashwin reveals the story behind a popular meme template

R Ashwin said that the picture is from the Vizag Test in 2016/17 against England. He said that he was showing a meme from his phone to Virat Kohli and hence, the moment of laughter. The Indian off-spinner also revealed that someone on Twitter asked him to show to Virat and hence, he did it. However, he was not able to remember the exact meme that he had shown to Virat.

After the picture was captured, many used it to make memes on social media as Virat Kohli, R Ashwin and R Sridhar were all seen laughing whole-heartedly.

Meanwhile, both Virat Kohli and R Ashwin will be involved in the three-match Test series against South Africa. The first game will begin on December 26th.

It has been a while that Virat Kohli has done well. In fact, it has been more than two years since he has scored a century. Hence, there is a lot of attention on him if he can rediscover his form. After losing his ODI captaincy, Virat could find himself under pressure to do well against the Proteas.

On the other hand, R Ashwin is likely to be part of all the games. With Ravindra Jadeja not available, Ashwin will be the lead spinner for India. It needs to be seen if he can maintain the form on overseas pitches.
