Athiya Shetty reacts to KL Rahul completing 7 years in international cricket

Indian cricket team’s star wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul completed seven years in international cricket on December 26, 2021. He had made his debut for the Indian cricket team against the Australian cricket team in the Boxing Day Test of 2014 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 26, 2014. 

Seven years later, Rahul donned the Indian cricket team’s jersey again in a Boxing Day Test match. This time the opponents of the Indian cricket team were the South African cricket team. KL Rahul celebrated his seventh anniversary in international cricket in style with a ton on December 26, 2021 against the South African cricket team at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. 

His hundred helped the Indian cricket team register a historic win against the South African cricket team at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Before the Indian cricket team, no other cricket team from Asia had been able to win a Test match against the South African cricket team at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. 

But thanks to Man of the Match KL Rahul’s century and a fine bowling performance from Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj, the Indian cricket team ended the year 2021 on a winning note. They have a 1-0 lead in the 3-match ICC World Test Championship series against the South African cricket team heading into the New Year’s Test in the year 2022.
