"Had conversations with Fleming..."- Ben Stokes drops a massive hint about his participation for CSK in IPL 2023

After a brilliant season of the Indian Premier League in 2022, the expectations for the upcoming edition in 2023 have reached their maximum. The upcoming edition will begin on March 31 with a game at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad between the defending champion Gujarat Titans and the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings.

The two-day mini-auction held in Kochi in December changed the dynamics of all teams. A number of superstars featured in the auction attracted some of the biggest bids in the history of the IPL auction.

One name that excited everyone was the English Test skipper Ben Stokes, who was acquired by CSK for a whopping price of INR 16.25, making him the costliest buy for the franchise ever in its history. However, a few media reports confirmed that Stokes' participation in the upcoming season is doubtful due to his international commitments.

But on Tuesday, the all-rounder gave a major update on his availability for CSK in IPL 2023. He led England to the historic win for New Zealand in Wellington on Tuesday. However, Stokes is having some issues with his knee, which has raised many questions about his IPL participation.

In the post-match press conference, Stokes said, "I’m going to the IPL. I’ve had conversations with ‘Flem’ and he’s fully aware of the situation with my body. It's a week by week case at the moment".

In addition, he discussed his injury and stated that he is working hard with the medical team to stay fit and give his all to the team, as he has done for the last ten years. Earlier, some reports suggested that Stokes might not be playing the full season for CSK because England is scheduled to play a one-off test against Ireland, which will begin four days after the IPL final.

However, Stokes will be a key for CSK in the upcoming season, and in the form he is in, the franchise can use him brilliantly. He and Ravindra Jadeja will make an excellent all-round duo for Chennai. CSK will play their first game at home on April 3 against the Lucknow Super Giants.
