The third and final ODI game between India and Sri Lanka on Sunday in Trivandrum ended in a one-sided affair, as Team India registered the biggest ODI win in the history of the game. The Men in Blue thrashed the visitors by a massive margin of 317 runs.

With this win, India registered a 3-0 whitewash over the Islanders. Batting first, the visitors posted a massive score of 390/5 in their first inning. In reply, Sri Lanka couldn't carry on at the required rate and got all out for just 73 runs in 22 overs.

Mohammed Siraj took his career best bowling figure of 4/32 in his 10 overs, while Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each. With good performances in batting and bowling, the Indian team also did a pretty good job on the field as well. Suryakumar Yadav and Axar Patel, in particular, saved some runs on the field.

However, an interesting incident took place when Suryakumar was fielding near the boundary line. A fan in the stands behind him asked, "Where is Sanju?" Although Surykumar couldn't hear him properly because of the noise on the ground, he asked him to say it again.

The fan repeated his question, and in response, Surykumar made a heart sign with his palm and pointed to his chest. That was a beautiful gesture from the Indian star. The video clip of that is going viral on the internet.

Earlier in the game, India scripted a perfect win and outclassed the Asian champions. Virat Kohli scored his 46th ODI ton and his third in the last four innings. He scored an unbeaten 166 runs off 110 balls with 13 fours and 8 sixes to guide India to a big total.

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill also grabbed the opportunity with both hands and scored his second century. He made 116 off 97 balls, with 12 fours and two sixes. After this series, India will host New Zealand for three ODIs and three T20Is, starting on January 18 in Hyderabad.
