"Probaby, I would go with...."-  David Miller picks best cover drive between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam

Virat Kohli needs no introduction to the game of cricket. He is argubly the best player that played the game in last decade. His consistency and numbers in all three formats are just incredible. That is why he is rated as the best batter in modern-day cricket.

Most recently, he also became the fastest batter to reach 25,000 international runs during the second test in Delhi against Australia. He took only 549 innings and went past Sachin Tendulkar's record of 577 innings. That shows how Virat has performed over the years.

But his numbers in the longest format in the past few years haven't been that great. He is not performing as per the standard he has set for himself. Meanwhile, the last few years have seen the rise of another brilliant talent who hails from Pakistan, and he is none other than skipper Babar Azam.

Babar has been the most consistent player in the past few years across all three formats. He emerged as the highest run scorer in 2022 with 2598 runs in 44 matches in all three formats. Babar also scored eight centuries and 17 fifties, for a high score of 196.

Babar's consistency has given growth to the comparison between him and the former Indian captain. Many believe that Babar in his current form is the best, while some back Virat as the best in the modern era. Veteran South African star David Miller was also among the players who shared his view.

In his latest interview with ESPN Cricinfo, he was asked to pick the batter with the best cover drive between Virat and Babar. He was very clear with his answer and replied, "Probably, I would go with Babar."

Furthermore, he was also asked to pick the bowler with the best yorker between Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi. Miller picked the Indian pacer and said, "I would go with Bumrah’s yorkers." The South African star is currently playing for the Multan Sultans in the ongoing Pakistan Super League.
