The biggest cricket carnival is all set to begin on March 31 when the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League will start with a game between the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings and the defending champion Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

This season will be another blockbuster of an event, with a number of the biggest superstars coming all at one place to showcase their skillset in front of the world. A number of Indian stars will also compete. Some to continue their domiance, while some will play to get a chance into the national team.

Meanwhile, there will be a few young Indian players who will be on the radar of the Indian cricket board as the 2023 ODI World Cup takes place in India in October and November this year. Amid all that noise, former BCCI chairman Sourav Ganguly has come up with five Indian youngsters who will make it big this time around.

In his recent interaction on Star Sports, Ganguly named five Indian players to watch out for. He named Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Umran Malik, and Ruturaj Gaikwad as the players for the upcoming IPL edition.

Ganguly said, "The best in the business is Suryakumar Yadav. Among the young players, Prithvi Shaw, and I think Rishabh Pant. Pant is the No. 2. I would keep a look at Ruturaj Gaikwad. I think these are the three batsmen. Umran Malik is one who will probably. I think my fifth player would be Shubman Gill."

The former BCCI chairman has joined the DC setup as a head of director after getting sacked from the chairman post. Notably, Pant is the only player from Ganguly's pick who will not be part of the upcoming IPL season. He was involved in a car accident and will be out of action for at least the next six months.
