Big Blow for DC ahead of RR clash; Australian Star flew to Australia for Family commitments

The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League hasn't been a great outing so far for the Delhi Capitals. After missing skipper Rishabh Pant due to an accident, the team has lost its first two games on the trot.

The batting is looking rusty, while the bowlers aren't able to contain the opposition. All in all, DC has yet to find its right combination in the ongoing tournament. Adding to that, they are set to miss star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh for the coming week.

DC bowling coach James Hopes confirmed that Marsh will travel back to Australia to get married, which means he will miss the next 2-3 games for the franchise. It will be a big blow for the team as the 31-year-old was part of the playing XI in both games.

Although he hasn't performed as per expectation. In the first game against Lucknow Super Giants, he was dismissed for a golden duck by Mark Wood, and then he only made four runs against Gujarat Titans, and it was Mohammed Shami who got the better of him. But he bowled in that game and ended with a figure of 1/24.

With Marsh not available for selection, DC might include Rovman Powell or Rilee Rossouw in the team. Marsh bats at No. 3, so it is likely that Rossouw  might get a nod ahead of Powell. DC will face Rajasthan Royals in their third game of the season on Saturday at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.

So it will be interesting to see, who will get the chance in the playing XI in the must-win clash for the team. So far, the batting has disappointed the team, with not many batters performing. Thus, we might see a couple of changes in the team on Saturday. Delhi is currently 8th on the table with a NRR of -1.703 and desperately needs a win.
