Watch: "If you can give it, you gotta take it, otherwise..." - Virat Kohli dressing room reaction after heated exchange with Gambhir
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants produced an electrifying game of cricket on Monday night. It was a low-scoring thriller that ended with some heated exchanges of words between the two Delhi boys. RCB successfully defended the lowest total of the IPL 2023.
In reply to RCB's 126/9, Lucknow got dismissed for just 108 runs in 19.5 overs, and Bangalore won the game by 18 runs. But after the game, some things went out of control, and Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were separated from their team members.
Both were involved in heated arguments, which added another unwanted chapter to the bitter rift between the two. Amit Mishra, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis, and LSG assistant coach Vijay Dahiya had to come to separate both of them. Gambhir was looking more animated and was seen charging Virat.
Notably, the BCCI also punished both Virat and Gambhir and fined them 100 percent of their match fees. However, it was an important win for Bangalore, and they collected two important points on the table. They have moved to fifth place with 10 points and a NRR of -0.030.
After the win, the franchise shared a video of the dressing room, where Virat was seen taking a dig at Gambhir and saying, "If you can give it, you got to take it. Otherwise don’t give it."

This was a reference to Gambhir's "finger on lips" gesture towards the RCB fans in the crowd after LSG registered a one-wicket win in the last game these two teams played. After the game, when the players were shaking hands, Virat and LGS pacer Naveen-ul-Haq also had some exchanges of words.
After this, Gambhir was also seen taking away LSG opener Kyle Mayers when he was having a chat with Virat. After the loss, LSG dropped to third place with 10 points and a NRR of +0.639.
