"A problem for Rahul"- Ex-IND Cricketer warns KL Rahul after Shubman Gill's maiden Test century

After four days of entertaining cricket between India and Bangladesh in the first test, the hosts are looking in trouble at 272/6 in 102 overs, chasing the target of 504 runs. Team India is just four wickets away from registering a win in Chattogram.

India declared their second inning at 258/2 with centuries from Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara. Gill scored his maiden red-ball century and scored 110, while Pujara was unbeaten on 102 and scored his first century in the World Test Championship.

Former Indian test opener Aakash Chopra prasied the young Indian opener and reckons that Gill's form create a big problem for stand-in skipper KL Rahul. Rahul registered scores of 22 and 23 in two innings of the first test and looked a bit rusty.

He led Team India in the absence of Rohit Sharma. But some reports confirmed that Rohit will be back for the second test, which will leave the management in a dilemna over whether to drop one player. Being a vice captain, the chances of KL Rahul getting dropped are very low, while Gill has scored runs.

In a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, Aakash said that Rahul might face problems when Rohit Sharma comes back because Gill is scoring runs on the other hand. He also lauded the 23-year-old and said that he has grabbed his chances with both hands.

Aakash said, "It is a problem for KL Rahul that he has had two low scores. But whenever you give Gill a chance, he grabs it with both hands, and gives you a sweet headache, that how will you keep him out?  Who will go out when Rohit Sharma comes back?"

Furthermore, the former opener also added that if given a chance in the middle order, Gill can play there as well. He said that Gill can bat as an opener on Asian pitches and can also bat at No. 3 or 4 if the team needs him because he has the temperament to adjust and attack at the same time.
