Here's what happened to Risbhah Pant; He admits to Dozing off before the horrible car accident
The morning of Friday brought horrible news for all the cricket lovers in India. The Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant met with a horrible car accident while going to his hometown of Haridwar from Delhi. The accident occurred at 5:30 in the morning.
His car collided with the divider, which resulted in the car catching fire. Pant was driving his Mercedes car alone. As per reports, he suffered some major injuries to his head, back, shin, and right leg. He was rushed to the Roorkee Hospital for medical treatment.
The Uttarakhand Police released an official statement that the 24-year-old was driving alone and dozed off while driving, which resulted in losing control. He himself broke the windscreen to escape from the burning car.
Ashok Kumar, the Director General of Uttarakhand Police, said, "Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant's car met with an accident at around 5:30 am. The incident took place at Mohammedpur Jat near Roorkee. According to what Pant said, he dozed off while driving, and as a result the car collided with the divider and caught fire. He was moved to the Roorkee hospital, from where he has now been shifted to Dehradun."
Pant has been taken to Max Hospital in Dehradun. Some reports also confirmed that the Indian board is also getting in touch. Meanwhile, the medical team has confirmed that there is not any kind of internal injury or fracture.
On the other hand, Uttarakhand's Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has stated that the government will cover all of Pant's expenses under the treaty. He also stated that, if required, the 24-year-old could be airlifted to Delhi from Dehradun.
However, some media reports confirmed that Pant suffered major injuries to his head and right leg. There is no specific report that can confirm how long he will take to return to the game, but after suffering severe injuries, he is likely to take at least 6-8 months.
