Danish Kaneria's best T20 XI for 2021

In recent months, Kaneria is becoming popular for his views on social media. Hence, quite a few were looking forward to the T20 XI that he will pick for 2021. There were not a lot of surprises although a few pointed out that there were some notable exclusions from the XI.

Kaneria's team included the Pakistan duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan at the top. This combination has clicked big-time for the country in 2021. Jos Buttler features at No.3 while Liam Livingstone and Mitchell Marsh comprise the core of the middle-order. Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin have been selected as the spinners along with Adam Zampa. The pace attack consisted of Shaheen Afridi, Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah.

A few surprises in the team

Danish's team covered most of the performers for the year 2021. However, top players such as Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson missed the XI. Interestingly, West Indies, which is considered a powerhouse of T20 cricket, did not see any representations. Although the team did not do well at the T20 World Cup, across the global leagues, West Indian players have been successful in 2021 like every year. No players from South Africa, too, made it to this XI picked by Danish Kaneria.
