Devisha Shetty presents a special cake to celebrate Suryakumar Yadav's national call-up

The BCCI recently announced India’s T20I squad for the home series against England. There were some notable new inclusions like Suryakumar Yadav, Rahul Tewatia, and Ishan Kishan in the Indian squad. The fans were delighted to see Suryakumar’s name in the team. 

Many members of the cricket universe wanted Yadav in the squad after his top-quality performances in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. Yadav played multiple match-winning knocks for the Mumbai Indians and helped the Mumbai-based franchise retain their IPL championship successfully. 

During IPL 2020, Yadav also had a heated moment with Virat Kohli. Yadav seems to have won Kohli’s respect with that performance against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. After missing out on a spot in the series against Australia, Yadav could now make his T20I debut against the England cricket team that too at the world’s largest cricket stadium. 

Suryakumar Yadav’s wife Devisha Shetty has constantly supported the right-handed batsman in his journey. Talking about Yadav’s wife, the cricketer recently posted an Instagram story, where he shared a photo of the special cake by Shetty after the news of Yadav’s inclusion in the Indian cricket team. 

“Biwi. Spoiling me,” wrote Suryakumar Yadav.

The reason why Yadav wrote Devisha Shetty tried to spoil him is because the cricketers are generally on a strict diet. The fans would have seen the good shape Suryakumar Yadav has maintained of late. Thus, eating a sweet cake could have impacted his diet.
