Here's how RCB Women can still qualify for WPL 2023 Playoffs
The inaugural Women's Premier League has been a great addition to women's cricket. It has been going well, and some of the biggest names in women's cricket have set the stage on fire. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals are the two teams that have already qualified for the next round.
Meanwhile, UP Warriorz are likely to be the third team. On the other hand, RCB women and Gujarat Giants are in fourth and fifth place on the table. It hasn't been a great inaugural season for the RCB, as they started the tournament with five consecutive losses.
But they have bounced back well with two wins in last games for them. However, it is not enough, as they have only one game to play against the table-topper MI. And with MI and DC having already made it to the next round, there is only one place left in the next round.
But despite all the odds against them, RCB can still make it to the next round and finish the group in third place. But for that, they need some more results to go their way. RCB has won their last two games against UP and Gujarat by five wickets and eight wickets, respectively.
Now they need a big win against MI in their last game, which will be played on March 21st. Then, they will hope that the UP Warriorz, who have two games left to play, lose both games against Gujarat and DC. Then, they would hope that if Gujarat beats UP, it should not be a big win.
All these results look difficult, but if they happen, Smriti Mandhana and her team will be ahead of the other two in terms of NRR. RCB is currently suffering because of their poor performance in the first half. But everything is not lost, and mathematically they can still be in.
