AB de Villiers or MS Dhoni? Virat Kohli reveals fastest runner between wickets; picks Pujara as "Worst"
On Tuesday, the pair of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers participated in a fun session on "360 Show" and answered some interesting questions. Both also revealed the fastest and worst runner between the wickets that they have played with in their cricketing careers.
Notably, both were not allowed to take their own names. Team India is currently playing a three-match ODI series against Australia, with both teams winning one game each. The third and final game is set to take place on Wednesday in Chennai, and for that, the Indian team reached Chennai on Tuesday.
The former Indian skipper met his long-term friend and joined him in a fun session in which they shared some unheard and interesting stories about their careers. Virat also opened up about the best environment he had during the 2011 ODI World Cup and the T20I game against Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup.
He also revealed how he met his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Later in the show, both Virat and De Villiers were asked about the fastest runners that they have played with. Undoubtedly, Virat took the name of the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, while De Villiers picked his former teammate Faf du Plessis.
Virat also said that whenever he played against Dhoni or De Villiers, he didn't need to call even, and it was a great understanding with both of them. Virat said, "Ofcourse, its not even a question, I have been asked this question before, AB (De Villiers) has by far been the fastest, the only other guy I had so much coordination and understanding with was MS (Dhoni). Now I don’t know about the speeds between the wickets, but with him and MS I would not even have to call."
When asked about the best atmosphere in which he has played, he picked the 2016 IPL final when RCB lost to SRH, but above all, he picked the moment of the 2011 ODI World Cup and also added that the atmosphere during the match against Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup was something special. Further, when asked about the worst runners, Virat picked veteran Test batter Cheteshwar Pujara.
