Watch: Crowd goes berserk with MS Dhoni smashing huge sixes at Chepauk Stadium during CSK practice match

The preparations for the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League are in full swing. All ten IPL franchises are busy finding the right combination for their team that can compete in the upcoming season. This season will be more special as, after three years, all teams will play games at their home grounds as well.

Thus, every fan will be able to witness their favourite player at their home ground. The four-time champion Chennai Super Kings will feature in the opening match of the edition against the defending champion Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 31.

CSK has also begun practising at the Chepauk Stadium. The franchise has signed a few excellent players to cover all the bases for the coming season. Ben Stokes has joined the team, and now the CSK lineup is looking stronger.

However, the biggest buzz among the fans is seeing MS Dhoni return to Chennai and play in the yellow jersey. Earlier, some reports claimed that MSD might retire from the IPL after this season, which has made his presence more valuable among the fans.

And to make it more special, the franchise shared a video clip on Tuesday, featuring the captain, MS Dhoni, flexing his muscles and smashing some big sixes in a practise match. A huge crowd gathered at the stadium to see Dhoni play the game. Dhoni was seen hitting some big shots in the video.

Later in the video, even the batting coach Mike Hussey, was seen surprised after watching MSD hit such long shots. The video also captured fans chanting for the 41-year-old through a drone shot.

CSK didn't have a great IPL 2022, where they ended the tournament in ninth place. They only won four games out of 14 group matches. However, the coming season will be another big opportunity for the four-time champion to get their hands on their fifth IPL title.
