Watch: Steve Smith scores 16 runs off just One delivery for Sydney Sixers against the Hobart Hurricanes in BBL 2022-23
Amid all the ongoing T20 leagues around the world, the 12th edition of the Big Bash League is also underway. This edition has already produced some mouth-watering contests and some incredible individual performances so far. The return of Steve Smith to the competition has certainly skyrockted the stakes of the league.
Meanwhile, the veteran Australian star has also played like that. Smith smashed two back-to-back centuries against the Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunders, while on Monday he played another excellent inning against the Hobart Hurricanes at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
Batting first, the Sydney Sixers scored 180/7 in their 20 overs, with Steve Smith scoring the most runs. He made 66 runs off just 33 deliveries and smashed six maximums and four fours. He was looking good for another century before getting out to Nathan Ellis on a full toss.
However, not just in the inning, another moment caught the attention of the cricket lovers, and it came in the second over of the first inning when Smith scored 16 runs on the third ball of the over by Joel Paris. Well, it looks unreal to hear, but it happened during the game.
15 runs off one legal delivery! 😵💫

It began with Paris bowling a no-ball, which was deposited in the stands for a six on the leg side by Smith. As a result, the Sixers got a free-hit. The pacer bowled a wide ball down the legside, which the keeper couldn't stop, and it went for a four-wide, resulting in five extra runs with the free-hit yet to be bowled.
Then, on the next ball, which was a free hit, Smith smashed a boundary on the leg side, collecting 16 runs on the third ball of the over. Smith is in beast mode in the ongoing BBL. He has scored 328 runs in only four innings, with a 109.33 average and a strike rate of 180.21, respectively. He has scored two centuries and one fifty, along with 24 sixes and 18 fours.
