Chennai Super Kings are one of two most successful franchises in the history of the Indian Premier League along with Mumbai Indians. These two teams have won a total of nine seasons out of 15. CSK won the IPL four times in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021.

They are the only team to play nine IPL finals, winning four out of them. Meanwhile, the franchise is not only known for their success on the field but their relation with their players and fans is also world-reowned. On the other hand, the franchise is known for picking experienced players for their team.

CSK has always done everything for their players to create a good atmosphere within the team, which has always produced a good dressing room environment. That's what former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris revealed about the CSK atmosphere.

Styris was part of CSK in the 2011 and 2012 seasons and revealed an untold story about the franchise. In an interview with Chris Gayle, Suresh Raina, Parthiv Patel, Robin Uthappa, and Anil Kumble on Jio Cinema's "Legends Lounge," the former Kiwi all-rounder revealed how the Chennai franchise flew Albie Morkel's father, in business class, as he had never visited India while Morkel was part of the Chennai set-up.

Styris said, "His father had never been to India, so CSK flew him business, not in the contract; they didn’t have to do it."

Adding to that, former CSK star Suresh Raina also revealed how the franchise always rewarded their players with various bonuses, which was like pampering them as their child. Raina said, "They give a lot of bonuses, too. You always feel like doing something special for them; you felt like a pampered kid."

The four-time champion had a horrible season in 2022, with only four wins in 14 games. They finished ninth on the table. But with a new season, the franchise will look to bounce back and make it better. MS Dhoni will be leading the team at home in Chennai.
