Former England fast bowler Jade Dernbach to play for Italy

In a disappointing development for all the England cricket team fans, former England cricket team fast bowler Jade Dernbach has decided to represent the Italian cricket team in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier. 

Many Indian cricket fans would remember Jade Dernbach because he played quite a few matches against the Indian cricket team. The 35-year-old was born in South Africa, but he represented the England cricket team at the international level. 

Dernbach played a total of 24 ODI matches and 34 T20 international matches for the England cricket team. Apart from the England cricket team, Dernbach also represented Derbyshire, Surrey, England Lions and Jamaica Tallawahs. 

Recently, the veteran pace bowler was in action during the Men’s Hundred 2021, where he played for the London Spirit team. Speaking of his domestic cricket experience, Jade has been a part of 113 first-class matches, 144 List-A matches and 165 T20 matches. 

He has scalped more than 300 wickets in the first-class arena, while in the List-A and T20 forms of the game, Dernbach has scalped 228 wickets and 178 wickets, respectively. His best figures in the shortest format of the game are 4/22.

Now many fans would be wondering how Jade Dernbach is eligible to play for the Italian team at the international level. The reason behind is his mother who had an Italian connection.
