Full List Of Commentators For South Africa vs India Test Series, Sunil Gavaskar Is India's Only Representation

India vs South Africa

Cricket South Africa’s official broadcaster SuperSport has announced the list of commentators for the India Vs South Africa Test Series. The first game has begun in Cape Town on December 26th. With the series coming under the World Test Championship, it will be interesting to see how the tournament goes about.

An elite list of commentators by SuperSport

SuperSport has announced a star-studded line-up in the commentatory box for the tournament. The list includes Mark Nicholas, Pommie Mbangwa, Hashim Amla, Sunil Gavaskar, Shaun Pollock, Mike Haysman, Makhaya Ntini, Vernon Philander and Robin Peterson.

It is interesting to note that Sunil Gavaskar is the only Indian name on the list. While some of the former South African cricketers comprise the core, the relatively new additions are Vernon Philander and Hashim Amla. Vernon was part of Pakistan's backroom staff in the recent T20 World Cup, while Hashim played in the last County Season.  Kass Naidoo, a veteran South African analyst, who impressed many with her inputs during the Hundred will also be a part of the commentatory box.

Star Sports will be carrying a Hybrid feed and will include commentators from its Studio. Ravi Shashtri is one name that is likely to feature in Star Sports' list. The likes of Sanjay Bangar, Ajit Agarkar and Aakash Chopra will also be part of it.

Team India is off to a good start

Winning the toss, Virat Kohli chose to bat first in the first encounter. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal enjoyed a century-run stand for the opening wicket. Although there was an issue with two wickets falling in two deliveries, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have both steadied the ship. The onus will now be on the duo to carry India to Stumps without much damage. If India gets a good score in the first innings, a win is very much possible for the visitors.
