Gambhir responds to Dhoni handshake controversy

Where were reports claiming that the former skipper of Delhi and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had refused to shake hands with the then India's skipper Mahendra SIngh Dhoni during the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2015. In the quarter-final game between Delhi and Jharkhand which held on 23rd December, 2015, Gambhir and co. beat Dhoni's Jharkhand by a huge margin of 99 runs. There were rumours that the winning team captain had refused to shake hands with MS Dhoni after the conclusion of the game.

The issue went viral as the media has started to criticize the World Cup hero, Gautam Gambhir for his rude behaviour. The people also were started to criticize him for his lack of sportsmanship. But, the then skipper of Delhi, Gautam Gambhir took a week's time to give a perfect reply to the medias. The left-handed cricketer took to the twitter and posted a picture of him exchanging a handshake with Dhoni. He also asked the media to check their facts before reporting the news. 

It has been reported in the past that the World Cup heroes Gautam Gambhir and Mahendra Singh Dhoni don't share a good relationship. Some even claimed that Dhoni's was the main reason behind Gambhir's exclusion from the national team. However, Gambhir has given answers to all the questions.
