Gautam Gambhir suggest big change for the 3rd T20I

Former Indian cricket team opener and India's World Cup 2011 Final hero, Gautam Gambhir has suggested a change to the Indian cricket team's Playing XI for the 3rd T20I against New Zealand.

The T20 World Cup 2021 runners-up New Zealand have visited India to play 3 match T20I and 2 match Test series against the host nation. 

Team India with in a new avatar as Rohit Sharma has been appointed India's T20 captain and Rahul Dravid's first assignment as India's Head Coach and New faces have been brought into the team for the series to give rest to senior players.

Going into the 3rd match in Kolkata tonight, India have already won the first 2 matches, therefore, have won the series with 1 match to go. Thus, it gives Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid an opportunity to test out the players who didn't got to play in the first 2 matches.

Former Indian cricketer and opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has suggested a change for the Indian team for the 3rd T20I. Gautam Gambhir believes that pacer Avesh Khan should be given an opportunity in the 3rd T20I.

Gautam Gambhir in the pre-match preview for Star Sports said that Bhuvneshwar Kumar should be rested for the match and Avesh Khan should be brought in, as it will give Avesh an added advantage due to the wicket in Kolkata.

He further added that the pitch in Kolkata has the pace and bounce and Avesh has that pace. He continued that when India has won the series already, it is better to test out Avesh Khan on the International stage.

Talking about Avesh Khan, he caught the eyes of the Indian cricket fans and selectors during the IPL 2021. Avesh Khan, playing for Delhi Capitals, had a great IPL 2021 as he picked up 24 wickets from 16 matches and finished as the 2nd highest wicket-taker.

The Indian cricket team has already won the 3 match series having won the first 2 matches. Thus, many experts believe to that the 3rd match in Kolkata is a good opportunity to give youngsters an opportunity to prove themselves. The 3rd T20I will be played at the Eden Gardens on the 21st of November from 7 PM.
