Watch: Umran Malik sends stumps flying with a 151 kmph thunderbolt to dismiss Najmul Shanto in 2nd ODI vs BAN

Umran Malik has been breathing fire since he came onto the scene in both international cricket and the IPL. He has been the standout bowler, catching the attention of the world with his ability to bowl over 150 kmph consistently.

And he produced yet another firing spell in the ongoing second ODI game between India and Bangladesh at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. Notably, Umran replaced pacer Kuldeep Sen in the playing XI for the Indian team.

The 23-year-old rattled the veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan in his first over, hitting him twice on the bouncers, including a hit to his helmet. Then, he sent back Najmul Shanto with a peach of a delivery that was bowled at 151 kmph, and the off stumps went cartwheeling.

Without a doubt, Umran is India's fastest bowler in the current set-up and is known for bowling at a rare pace. In his second over, he bowled a full delivery to Shanto, who was expecting a short delivery. But he couldn't come on the line of the ball, and it hit the off-stump.

He tried to go for a drive but completely missed it and got out after scoring 21 runs off 36 balls. Earlier, the pacer came out to bowl his first over during the 12th over of the innings. He troubled Shakib with short-pitch stuff, which was awkwardly played by the all-rounder.

Even former Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar, who was part of the commentary panel, was in awe of the Indian pacer. He said on SonyLiv, "One player I am most excited to see playing for India after Sachin Tendulkar is Umran Malik."

India is trailing 1-0 in the three-match series after losing a close game in the first ODI on Sunday. That means this second ODI is a must-win game for the visitors to remain alive in the series. On the other hand, Bangladesh would like to win this game to register their second consecutive ODI series win in Bangladesh.
