"He can hit Sixes anytime"- Irfan Pathan names an Indian star, who is extremely valuable for India in T20 WC

The T20I World Cup is scheduled to start in October in Australia. All the teams are preparing for the big ICC event. The Men in Blue are also in preparation for the upcoming multi-national tournament. But as per the pitches in Australia, which offer a lot of bounce and pace to the bowlers.

That will make it difficult for batters to play their shots on the up. But on the other hand, batsmen can also trust the bounce and play. Notably, the boundaries in Australia are among the biggest in the world; it will need some power from the batsman to clear.

Speaking of the Indian squad, they also have a few players who can hit the ball very hard. Hardik Pandya is a well-known hard-hitting all-rounder and has proved his hitting ability in Australia, the last time India visited there for the white-ball series.

Former Indian pacer Irfan Pathan also believes that Hardik's ability to hit sixes at any stage makes him an integral part of India's plan in the upcoming T20 World Cup. The all-rounder played his last match for India in the last T20 World Cup in the UAE. But since then, he has not played an international game.

He returned to the IPL and has performed exceedingly well, leading his team, Gujarat Titans, to the IPL title in their maiden season. In a cricket show called "Follow the Blues" on Star Sports, Irfan said that Hardik is pretty valuable to the team and he can finish and bat up the order as well.

He further said that the team must have all this in their plan. The former pacer also lauded the 28-year-old and said that he can hit sixes at any stage and, with a successful IPL season, he has also learnt to play along the ground and build an innings.

The 2007 T20 World Cup-pacer also highlighted that India has now a few other finishers in the team as well. Irfan said that Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik are other two who can finish the game. He concluded, "We have tried to fill up the area we have been found slightly wanting in. So I am very excited with him (Hardik's) coming in."
