"He can take 24 wickets in 24 balls"- Shadab Khan makes a bold statement for a T20 superstar
T20 cricket is the very first forward format of the game. A lot of skill is required from the players on the cricket field in a T20 match. However, it will not be a wrong statement to say that it is a batter's dominating form of cricket because batsmen get the licence to go and start hitting the ball.
That is why is very hard for the bowler because one small mistake can change to whole scenario of the match. But still, there are a few bowlers in the world who know how to use the ball to restrict the batters as well as take wickets. Shadab Khan is among the top all-rounders in the white-ball format.
He is known for bowling a very tight line and can come down the order and use the long handle as well. On top of that, he is also an excellent fielder. Having made his debut for Pakistan in 2017, Shadab has played 64 T20Is and picked up 73 wickets.
However, the Pakistani all-rounder has opened up about his favourite spinners in the shortest format at the moment. Rashid Khan is the world's leading spinner at the moment. He is widely recognised as one of the best components of the cricket ball. Rashid has been phenomenal for his international teams and franchises he plays for.
That is the prime reason he is in high demand in the franchise leagues all over the world. However, Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is also in the league of becoming one of the best spinners in the current era. Shadab has rated Hasaranga as one of his favourite bowlers in the current generation.
In an interaction with Geo TV, the all rounder said, "Rashid Khan of Afghanistan and Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka are my favourite leg spinners. Rashid Khan is such a talented leg spinner that he possesses the ability to take 24 wickets in 24 balls in a T20 spell. It is very difficult to pick the ball in the hands of Rashid Khan."
There is no doubt that Shadab himself is a great spinner, and with the T20 World Cup just a few months away, he will be an important member of the Pakistan team. Because of his all-round ability he can give them the required balance in the playing XI.
