Tickets for IND-PAK T20 WC match sold out in 5 minutes, ICC Releases more 4000 tickets for the mega-clash

The rivalry between India and Pakistan is one of the oldest in any sport. But in cricket, it is both exciting and tense at the same time. These two nations haven't played any kind of bilateral series in more than a decade.

That is the reason they only face each other in ICC or multi-national tournaments. That is why we often see a packed stadium when these two teams lock horns in any match. The last meeting between India and Pakistan in the 2021 T20 World Cup achieved the highest ratings in history.

And this time as well, there is nothing surprising. India will square off against Pakistan once again in their first match of the 2022 T20 World Cup on October 23 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The tickets for the match were sold within a span of five minutes after release as every fan wanted to witness this mega-encounter live in the stadium.

As a result, the ICC was forced to arrange some other options for the fans to enjoy this class. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has arranged a further 4000 standing room tickers for the match between India and Pakistan, which will cost 30 Australian dollars.

In a statement released, the ICC said, "The ticket release ensures that as many fans as possible can attend the fixture scheduled to be played on Sunday 23 October. A limited number of packages also remain available for purchase via the ICC Hospitality and ICC Travel & Tours programmes."

A re-sale platform will also be launched by the organisers nearer to the tournament's first game on October 16. The T20 World Cup will kick off on October 16 and the final will be played on November 13 at the MCG. Having won the 2021 event, the defending champions, Australia, will defend their title at home.

The ICC further said that fans can still book the tickets and enjoy the game, and the tickets for the final on November 13 at the MCG are still available. For an adult, the ticket price starts at $20, while for kids, it starts at $5.
