India and Pakistan produced yet another thriller on Sunday when the game ended with another nail-biting finish. However, this time it was the Men in Green who proved to be the better side of two and pulled off a brilliant chase under pressure.

Despite a competitive target of 182, India couldn't defend the total and lost the match by five wickets. Another brilliant match-turning half-century from Mohammad Rizwan and an incredible cameo from Mohammad Nawaz put Indian bowlers under pressure and shifted the match in favour of Pakistan.

However, once both batters were dismissed, India had a potential chance to pull things back. And one match-turning moment came in the 18th over of the innings, when Ravi Bishnoi bowled a wide delivery and the ball took an edge of Asis Ali's bat, who was trying to hit it out of the ground.

The ball popped up in the air and went to Arshdeep Singh, who was fielding at point in the inner criclet, but it ended up as a crucial drop and the batter hit two fours and one six after that drop. It didn't go well with the fans, and Arshdeep faced a lot of criticism for dropping a simple chance.

Although defending seven runs in the last over, the pacer bowled an excellent last over and took the match deep. The former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, also came in support of the left-arm pacer and said that Arshdeep should be proud of himself for how he performed and that anyone can drop a catch under pressure.

In the post-match conference, Virat recalled a moment from his own first ever match in the Asia Cup against Pakistna in 2010. He said that he had played a poor shot and got out, which was there in his mind forever. Virat also highlighted that it is completely normal for anyone to feel the pressure.

He said, "The management and captain deserve credit for creating such a positive atmosphere inside the squad at the moment. He must "face his mistake, rectify it, and look forward to being in that pressurised scenario once again."

With this win, Pakistan has moved one step closer to a place in the final of the Asia Cup 2022. On the other hand, India needs to win both of their remaining matches against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma and his men will lock horns against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, September 6 at the Dubai International Stadium.
