On Sunday, India and Pakistan once again locked horns in the second game of the "super four" round at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This was the second time that both teams played against each other in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022, and for the second time in a row, the match went to the very last over.

However, in the end, Pakistan's batting proved to be too good against the Indian bowling and they chased down their highest total against India in T20Is. In the first innings, India scored a competitive total of 181/7 in 20 overs.

The former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, scored 60 runs off 44 balls. In response, Pakistan lost their skipper, Babar Azam (14) early in the power-play. After that, Fakhar Zaman also looked a bit rusty and got out after scoring 15 off 18 balls, which brought Mohammad Nawaz to the crease.

That was the moment when the game totally shifted towards Pakistan's favour. He, along with Mohammad Rizwan, added 73 runs for the third wicket in a quick time and put pressure on the Indian bowlers by collecting odd boundaries in every over.

Rizwan played another brilliant innings and scored 71 off 51 balls with six fours and two maximums, while Nawaz scored 42 off 20 balls with six fours and two sixes. Both batters helped Pakistan to come close to the target. In the end, the Men in Green got over the line to register their first win in the "Super Four" stage.

However, after the match, the wicket-keeper batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, was taken to the hospital in Dubai for a precautionary MRI scan. Notably, the 30-year-old sustained a minor injury during the 15th over of the first innings when he tried to stop a ball and fell awkwardly on his right leg.

He was seen in a huge amount of pain and was also limping when he came out to bat. Although he played a match-winning innings for Pakistan, as per the report by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the 30-year-old will be taken to hospital today for an MRI scan to check the status of the injury.

Pakistan will hope that it doesn't end up being a major injury because Rizwan is their main batter in the ongoing tournament and they don't have another wicket-keeper in the squad. Already, Paksitan is suffering from injuries as Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr. were ruled out of the tournament before the start.
