Here's how Arshdeep Singh reacted to the social media trolls

Parents reveal Arshdeep's first reaction to the social media trolls. Here's how he reacted

On Sunday, India lost to Pakistan in their first match of the "super four" stage at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Paksitan registered their highest run-chase against India in T20Is and won the match by five wickets. However, after the match, Indian 23-year-old young left-armer Arshdeep Singh faced a lot of criticism.

He dropped the catch of Asif Ali in the 18th over of the chase off the bowling of Ravi Bishnoi. The batter went on to score 16 off 8 balls with two fours and one six after that, which proved to be a crucial small cameo to win the match for Pakistan. It didn't go well with the fans.

Some of the trolls targeted the 23-year-old on the social media platforms. And now the pacer himself has opened up on all those trollers. Notably, after the drop catch, Arshdeep bowled the 20th over, defending just seven runs, and he took the game deep.

And now the parents of the 23-year-old tell us what their son is feeling and how he reacted to all those trolls. In a recent interaction with the Indian Express, Arshdeep's parents said that Arshdeep has taken all those criticisms positively and is feeling confident.

His father said, "His exact words were, ‘I am laughing at all these tweets and messages. I am only going to take positives from it. This incident has only given me more confidence."

His mother, Balijeet, added that the pacer has told them that the whole Indian team is supporting him. His father stated that it feels bad when people say these kinds of things, as he is just 23. He added that no one can shut the mouth of everyone; some will support and some will not; and in the end, only one team can win.

Many current and former cricketers and politicians have come out in support of the 23-year-old. However, after the loss, India are in a must-win situation and they need to win their remaining games against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. India will lock horns against Sri Lanka on Tuesday at Dubai International Stadium.
