Watch: Virat's gesture wins heart; ask crowd to chant "India" instead of "RCB" by pointing to India logo in 2nd T20
Virat Kohli is arguably the most followed cricketer on the planet. The fan base of the former Indian captain is unimaginable. Many cricketers and fans admire the 33-year-old. Although he couldn't make much of a contribution in the first two T20I against Australia in the ongoing three-match series, he is still the most-followed player from the current team among the fans.
And the form he showed in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022 was just incredible. He ended the tournament as the second highest run-scorer with one century and two half-centuries. Well, the whole world knows how passionate Virat Kohli is when it comes to the game, whether it is for India or Royal Challengers Banglaore in the Indian Premier League.
He never shys away from expressing his emotions on and off the field, is always up to the challenge, and he will give his 100%. But it goes without saying that wearing the India jersey gives him an unrivalled rush of emotion or adrenaline.
In the second Twenty20 International match against Australia in Nagpur, the former India captain provided first-hand evidence of the same. One video clip is going viral on the internet in which Virat is winning the hearts of the fans once again. This is the video ahead of the start of the second T20I in Nagpur.
After seeing Virat in the dressing room, the spectators at the ground, who were waiting for the match to start, started chanting "RCB! RCB". However, the former Indian skipper pointed towards the Indian team logo on his jersey and signalled to the crowd that he was playing for India and not the IPL team.
After watching all this, the crowd at the stadium stopped chanting "RCB" and started cheering for Virat. The Indian pacer, Harshal Patel, who was standing next to him, couldn't help himself and had a smile on his face.
