Indian cricket team's wicketkeeper batsman and India's one of the most rising sports personnel Rishabh Pant has been named the Brand Ambassador of Uttarakhand by the state's Cheif Minister.

The sport of cricket has been growing in India. And not just the big cities or states, the likes of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, but even the other states are now giving much more focus on cricket. Uttarakhand is one of them.

Recently, the Uttarakhand state Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the Indian cricket team's wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant as the state's Brand Ambassador.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote that Risabh Pant has appointed the State's Brand Ambassador as a step to encourage the youths of the state towards sports and public health. He also termed Pant as an Idol of the youths.

Reacting to it, the India International tweeted that he is very thankful for the opportunity and will try his best to promote the message and believes that Uttarakhand has what it takes to make the country proud in the field of sports.

Let us also inform you that the left-hand batsman Rishabh Pant was actually born in Roorkee, which is a city based in Uttarakhand in North India. 

In the last couple of months, Rishabh Pant has come out as India's one of the most hot prospect in the game of cricket. His attacking batting gets the fans fired up. He has turned himself into a big games player, that reminds of the Indian team's historic Test match win at the Gabba, which is like a fortress to Australia, and Rishabh Pant was the hero the match.

Pant made his Indian team debut in 2017 against England in a T20I match. He then went to make his ODI the next year and then the ODI debut the same year.

However, questions were asked on his performance for the team, but the left-hand batsman worked hard and has come out as India's one of the most important player.

Pant has so far played 25 Test matches and has scored 1549 runs. He has been decent in the limited overs too with 529 and 623 runs in 18 ODI and 41 T20I matches respectively.
