India's best uncapped Test XI for home conditions right now

India Test XI

India's depth in the Test squad is immense, especially when it comes to the home conditions. The reserves in the pace department are deep for overseas Tests but there are not many proven batters who can excel in SENA Nations. Nevertheless, in this article, we take a look at India's best uncapped Test XI for home conditions right now.

India is lucky to have the spin all-rounder trio of Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin and Axar Patel. This trio has helped India win a lot of games and it is almost impossible for any visiting team to overcome India without tackling these cricketers. Interestingly, India has decent depth in the other departments, too.

Openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal and Priyank Panchal

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Priyank Panchal are the openers in India's best uncapped Test XI for home conditions right now. Yashasvi Jaiswal did well recently for India A. He is still young in Ranji Trophy and might have to prove himself further. However, considering India might need a left-handed opening option, Jaiswal is a good option. Priyank Panchal has been on the fringes of the Indian Team and he has even led the India A squad.

Middle-Order: Abhimanyu Easwaran, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan and Sheldon Jackson (WK)

Abhimanyu Easwaran is primarily an opener but can also play at No.3. He would be next in line to make his Test debut for the role of an opener. Rajat Patidar has been in good form for a while now and it won't be a surprise if he also enters the conversation soon. Sarfaraz Khan is breaking down the door and it is just a matter of time before he plays for the Indian Team. He would slot in at a middle-order role for India. Sheldon Jackson is still in red-hot form and in Pant's absence, could have been considered for at least the backup wicket-keeper role.

All-Rounders: Shahbaz Ahmed, Jalaj Saxena and Saurabh Kumar

It will be a strong unit of all-rounders for India's best uncapped Test XI for home conditions right now. Just like the capped team, the uncapped squad can also boast of a similar setup. While Shahbaz and Saurabh have been in good form in recent years, Jalaj is a veteran and has hardly dropped his form in the last decade. These players would also bring a lot of experience along with batting value to this squad.

Bowlers: Prasidh Krishna and Mukesh Kumar

Prasidh Krishna was close to his debut but due to injury issues, this has been delayed. At least for the SENA Nations, Prasidh will be considered for the Indian Team and he is also good for the home conditions. Mukesh Kumar is also another name that can do well if given a chance. The Bengal pacer has also been doing well recently.
