Indian cricket team's premium pace bowler, the 27 year old Jasprit Bumrah has become the leading wicket-taker for India in the T20 International format, overtaking leg spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal.

Jasprit Bumrah is by far currently the best pace bowler India has in their set-up. The Gujarat born pace bowler has now made the step up to the next level, as Bumrah's 2 wickets in the match against Scotland has now made him the most wicket-taker for India in T20 International format.

Bumrah now has 64 wickets in the shortest format of the game in 54 T20I matches ever since making his debut for India in 2016. He overtook the leg spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal, who had 63 wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah picked up 2 wickets against Scotland in the recently concluded India vs Scotland T20 World Cup 2021 match. He dismissed Kyle Coetzer and Mark Watt to help India restrict Scotland for just 85 runs.

India's chances of qualifying to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021 now depends on the result of the match between Afghanistan and New Zealand, which will be played on the 7th November. India needs Afghanistan to beat New Zealand, after which, India needs to beat Namibia on the 8th November.
