English wicket-keeper Jos Buttler has felt that his team is really strong to go all the way in the upcoming T20 World Cup. However, he felt that two teams will offer them a tough competition. In this article, we take a look at Jos Buttler's opinion on who will be the toughest competitors for England at the T20 World Cup this year.

England are firm favourites to lift the trophy

England won the 2019 World Cup and have a very strong limited-overs squad at the moment. Although they are No.4 in the ICC rankings, a full-strength English team can give any other team a run for its money. In the 2016 edition of the T20 World Cup, the team lost the final in the last over due to the stunning show by Carlos Braithwaite. Hence, the players will be keen to make amends this time around.

Buttler names England's toughest competitors

Jos Buttler mentioned that even without the likes of Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, they have a strong team. While he backed his team to reach the finals and win the trophy, the Rajasthan Royals cricketer also gave names of two nations that he considers as the toughest competitors for England.

As reported in the Mirror, at an event, Jos Buttler said, "There are other fantastic teams around the world as well, I look at India and the West Indies in particular who is always really strong. West Indies have a lot of experience in T20 cricket and a lot of six-hitting capability which is quite nice to have in your team."

The 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup will start on October 17th. The event will be hosted by UAE and Oman. It will be happening after a gap of five years and hence, the excitement surrounding the competition is very high.
